Detective Angelo (Tony) Petrolia of the Golden Country Sheriff's Department and his I.D. Technician Roberta Thompson are put in charge of this investigation and are asked to solve this murder, which takes place in the company town of Golden in Golden County, California. The investigation takes Angelo from the beautiful scenery of Northern California, with its magnificent redwoods and rugged coast line, to the various truck stops along the way, and finally to the heavily congested stress of East Los Angeles.
