An excellent analogy is to liken the leader to a bus driver who knows the desired destination. The two vital tasks, then, are to persuade everyone, whose assistance is needed to get there, to board the bus, and, having done so, ensure they all stay on board, until the destination is reached.

This book explains what leadership is, which leadership style is your predominant one, what you need to do to get your people on your bus and, finally, how to keep them there until your goals are achieved.

Ted Corcoran is a leading management consultant based in Dublin, Ireland. A former International President of Toastmasters International, his company “Ted Corcoran and Associates” offers training in communication and leadership, management, motivation, time management, and presentation skills.

 As International President of Toastmasters – the world’s leading organisation in communication and leadership training – Ted oversaw the continued growth of the organisation whose membership currently stands at over 230,000, with 11,500 clubs in 90 countries. A member since 1985, he has also served as District Governor of the UK and Ireland and International Director representing the world outside North America.
