About the Author

Jody-Ann Peta-gay Henry is a beautiful young lady who with passion and ambition has worked hard to complete this manuscript which expresses her ideals and emotion. She sees writing as tool to share the inner being of her soul. This beauty was born on a small island in the Caribbean, Jamaica where she was involved in  performing arts. She migrated to the United States in 2001. A fish out water, she describes herself . She felt out of place and home sick but this overachiever wasted no time she soon became apart of Norland Middle School’s theatre magnet program. Jody-Ann became even more in love  with the stage. She decided to continue her acting career at New World School of the Arts. Like a true star she shines where she goes. Jody-Ann is well known at her school as a “power House”. Don’t be fooled by her small stature. Determined to succeed Jody-Ann decides to attend one of the most prestigious University in the nation, Nova Southeastern University where she will be studying Theatre arts and Communication. This Caribbean native is a firm believer in God. After witnessing her mother overcoming three major brain surgeries with a courageous attitude she is determine to strive for excellence despite e her own struggles. Her mother is determine to live and struggles to provide the best for her girls but she does it all with a smile. Jody-Ann learned that trials will come her way but she is persuaded to keep pressing on . “I will not die, I will not quit” it her favorite quote it  has become a philosophy by which she lives. Today’s reality does not have to determine my tomorrow she says, I strive to be a paradigm of success.
