Oh Simon, Why Did You Forsake Me?

About the Book

There are horrible earthquakes, and huge hailstones mixed with fire and blood, and billions of people are missing all around the world. 

            And here I’m sitting.  Just trying to get some rest.  I guess you could say I’m living as a fugitive now, hiding from the troops.  Before all this chaos, madness, and confusion, I used to be a respected preacher, preaching the word of God. I had led hundreds of people to God.  But here I am.  Left behind.

            I guess you could say I didn’t believe a word of all that stuff about Rapture, I didn’t believe any of it.  But I sure liked the easy work, and all of my bills were paid by the church.  I didn’t have to get my hands dirty.  But, all that has changed now. I’m a living witness of Rapture.  All those saved through the blood of Christ are gone.

            Daymon- I refuse to worship him.  That old serpent.  He calls himself Daymon, but I know who he really is.  He signed a peace treaty with Israel, and he broke it.  All political leaders relinquished their power to him.  Anyone who doesn’t worship him or receive his mark are put to death.  Those of us that refuse the mark are constantly on the move.  We are trying to hold out for the day of our Lord.  I keep wondering if we are going to make it, or if we'll all be killed, one by one.

            My name is Simon.  And after all that I have witnessed, I’m a believer in Christ.  I just wish I would have accepted Him as my Lord and Savior before all this madness took place.  I wouldn’t be here living like this, always on the run, always hiding, living in constant fear.  Oh, I hear someone.  I'd better get back to the others.

About the Author

There is just so much that I’m thankful for.  This book was finished five years ago.  I just placed it in my kitchen cupboard.  I knew that it wasn’t a good time to get it published.  There was too much going on in my life at the time.  I knew that the Lord would let me know when to take it back out of the cupboard.  I said to the Lord, “Lord, I know all things happen when you want them to,” and I knew the Lord would give me a sign. 

            Then I had a lot of people ask me about my first book, “Step Out Of The Darkness and Into The Light.  I mean seven years after it had been published, I now have people asking about it?

            My son Adam, wanted to join Karate.  So, we let him join.  Renee Porada teaches Karate there.  She is a very talented women.  She does massage therapy, is a professional fitness trainer, and has been in several movies.  She came to me and asked if I would help her write a film.  She knew that I was a writer.  It took me a couple of days to think about it.  Since my last book, we now have a addition to our family, Kira, our baby girl.  So, now I have Adam and Kira, and they take up a lot of my time.  I also work full-time as a nurse, and I  work at the Eagles when they have parties.  I haven’t written for about five years. 

            I talked about it with my friends, they thought that it sounded like a great opportunity, and I should go for it.  After several days of praying, I decided to go for it.  I said to the Lord, “You lead the way and I will follow.” 

            Now Renee and I are finished with the film script and are working on trying to get this book made into a movie.  I remember talking with Renee while writing the film, and I had my doubts about certain things.  She asked me, “How do you know if you’ll succeed or not, if you don’t even try.”  That gave me an incentive to just go for it and get this book published.  I feel God was working through her, telling me to take the chance and go for it.  I have nothing to loose, and in the long run, I've gotten  to know a very cool person.  I became very excited about writing again.  Things just seem to have fallen into  place for me.  When putting my book into the computer, I was worried about finding an editor.  I prayed.  I was sitting at my desk and a co-worker ased me if I wrote.  I started telling her about everything, and out of the blue she said, she wanted to get into editing books.  “WOW! Thank you Lord!”  It was I shock.  I told her about how I was in need of an editor, and she offered to edit my book.  Thank you so much Peg Reitz!  I can’t thank you enough. Yes, I can write, but my grammar and punctuation skills are a mess!  God paved the way once again.  When we have faith and we rely on the Lord, He will take care of us.  He really, truly does!

            God has given me several blessings and I am so thankful for everything.  Thank you , Renee and Peg for everything, may God bless you both, and keep you in his consistent loving care.  Neither of you know it,  but both of you have been blessings to me, provided by the Lord from up above.  Again, thank you both for everything.    Thank you Kim, my sister,as well.  I needed you once again for your computer skills, I love ya.  Thank you to everyone that has supported me.  I love you all.
