About the Book

Like a film in a reel, the episodes in Jun’s life as a young boy, his recollections and reflections riding out World War II in the Philippines, rolled by. For more than six decades, Jun was always having nightmares. He was traumatized by what he saw and experienced during the war. However, Jun took advantage of the years that had gone by. They were his bounty. He was able to unwind himself. He made peace with reality. Above all, reflecting his experiences one at a time, he seriously perceived the miracles of prayer, faith, hope and love.

About the Author

A United Nations Principal Officer and Director of the International Trade Division (Retired) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific; formerly an economist of the United Nations Food & Agriculture Organization and the Philippine Government; formerly a university professor in the Philippines and an Adjunct Faculty Staff of some universities in Texas; and author of various technical papers, studies and documents; a poet and a pianist; a community volunteer worker; and an independent international business consultant.
