About the Book

This little book reflects the early life of Ron Campbell while growing up in the South Carolina upstate. The story takes place in Anderson County, surrounded by family including parents, grandparents and uncles, and aunts.  It is a collection of true, interesting stories that reflect the lifestyle of God fearing country folks in the 40’s and 50’s.  It was a simple, safe time for Ron and when the family moved to Georgia, his life changed.  

About the Author

Ron Campbell is the broadcast officer for the House of Representatives in Nashville, Tennessee. He also hosts a Gospel Video TV Show and has done so for over 17 years.  The show is seen in a number of markets in Tennessee and North Carolina.  Ron is a veteran radio DJ, working in Nashville, Tennessee and a number of North Carolina Radio stations. 

Ron records for the Sims Label in the Nashville area recording gospel recitation that is played on many radio stations in the South East.

Ron has won numerous awards, most recently inducted into the Rock a Billy DJ Hall of Fame in Jackson, Tennessee.  Also won the Pioneer Award for The Music City Gospel Showcase in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee during the convention in 2004.  This is Ron Campbell’s first book.
