Introduction

I wanted to own real estate since I was a young boy.  I liked all the ideas of how real estate “works” for you.  The idea of appreciation made sense to me.  If I owed something long enough, it was worth more to me than when I purchased it.  So getting my own real estate, as often as possible, was always on my mind.

I also loved staying busy and making things happen.  I looked at almost everything with the half-full mentality instead of half-empty.  Many refer to me as an eternal optimist! 

I started delivering newspapers when I was 12.  I took every grass cutting and snow shoveling job I could find.  Working and making money always appealed to me.

Years later, I was married and starting a family.  I owned a local health club that my new wife was running, and I earned my real estate license.  I started to buy investment properties in our area. Generally, it was low income housing.  It was hard work. But I was learning.
