I was invited by a family friend to pray for a lady who had been housebound with agoraphobia for 26 years. At the young age of 17 a branch of a tree had fallen on her head and since then she was bound by fear and would not dare step outside her home. I arrived with my wife at her house in early spring...
I looked at her and could feel the mercy of God flowing through my heart I clearly remember saying, by inspiration of the Holy Spirit: “This is all over. The Lord will forgive and cleanse you with his blood and you will be going out after this prayer”. We began to minister to her in the power of the Holy Spirit, through biblical prayer... What followed was astonishing... she felt like she was suffocating, panic-stricken and wanted to get out of the room... she began to laugh uncontrollably as we ministered to her need. Then, I concluded the prayer, blessed her and told her that she had been delivered; God had healed her... Then we left. A few days after our visit, we received a telephone call from her to say that she had started going out, first walking up and down her road to the left and to the right. The next day she was able to go out shopping and another day she went to a large prayer meeting for the first time in 26 years. Since then she has been out in her car almost every day. She enjoyed the summer and continues to get around. Isn’t this wonderful? Glory be to God.

About the Author
