South African Woman
By Thabo Maluleka
In his new collection of poetry, South African Woman: A Beautiful Woman (published by AuthorHouse), Thabo Maluleka celebrates the God-given beauty of women across the globe, from
“I wish to bring to the attention of the world that love is precious and should be celebrated,” Maluleka writes. “I also wish to bring it to the attention of the world that women are precious things of beauty and they should be loved for who they are and they should be handled with care. Men should love women with all the purity in their hearts. Men should be happy and grateful to have women around them and they should love them truly at all times.”
Consider the sense of wonder and devotion conveyed in this passage from the poem “Sweet memories of the day we sealed our love”:
On the day we sealed our love
Your beauty was miraculous
Your lips were smooth and kissable
I gave you my heart
And you told me how much you loved me
On the day we sealed our love
The moon was bright and beautiful
The stars were shining and countless
As we hugged and kissed
As we kissed and hugged
On the day we sealed our love
