He has had a varied set of careers including, assistant director of a campus police department, women’s shoe salesman, orderly in a hospital emergency room, security consultant, bartender, character actor in summer stock theatre, extra in television and movies, and a very short stint as a chicken catcher for a poultry company. This insight brings a wealth of realism to the characters and settings of his stories.
He and his wife, Laura, met in a college play and were married after a short engagement. They have four children to whom he has dedicated his novel, Night Wolf's Song. He and Laura also have three grandchildren and a large red dog, named Chevy, who thinks she’s human.
He developed an undying love for horror as a youngster when he spent Saturday afternoons in the movie theatres watching the old classic films. The horror story remains at the center of his literary interest.
In 2004 his first novel, The Obsidian Serpent, was published. He spends his time writing, traveling, and playing bit parts in movies.
