A Christmas Carousel of Children's Stories

One particular story is entitled "Snowflake, the Friendly Skunk"

This is a tale about friendship and liking the person you are. Snowflake enjoyed making friends and when they moved to a new town, she was eager to meet and play with new friends!  Of course when she runs into Tessie Turtle and Billy Bullfrog, who make fun of her white stripe down her back and call her names, she is hurt deeply and runs back home, crying.

So, she 'borrows' her father's shoepolish and swipes it down her white stripe, covering it completely. She feels good now, like nobody is going to make fun of her, because she doesn't look like a skunk anymore. 

Suddenly, while she and her friend Suzy Squirrel are out on the playground at recess, it begins raining!  Of course the black polish washes off completely!  Snowflake is devastated!

How does this tale end?
