About the Book

Suggie the cat is somewhat cynical as she tells of life’s experiences through her perspective.    This is a delightfully amusing collection of letters written to give joyfulness and pleasure to people.  Suggie is a faithful pet to Lisa and is terribly jealous of her husband, Terry to the point of being scornful for every opportunity he gives her.  She tells the facts of everyday life as she sees fit and delivers her disdain to all involved except for Lisa who she elevates to the highest rank.   Suggie has an opinion on countless topics from friendship to love at first sight to embarrassing moments.  This book is sure to put a smile on your face and produce a cheerfulness that can be very contagious.

About the Author

While this may be the first time Lisa’s imagination has found its way into published print, letters from Suggie the cat have been a source of laughter for her family and friends as this unique feline views life according to her wise perspective.

As a staff member of a mega-church, Lisa helped edit and organize children’s Christian Education curriculum for use internally, for website sales and international publication.  She also worked as an editor of Oregon Trail education books.  As a child, Lisa used her immense imagination to tell stories to her sisters and friends.  Her story telling continued while raising two daughters, which enhanced additional creativity and a desire to share these stories with others.

Lisa is also a musician and vocalist, so exploring a different side of the artistic world has been an enormously rewarding and fun diversion for her.  The music of words on paper in contrast to notes on a staff became another method of creative expression.  This has allowed Lisa the pleasure of getting into the mind of her cat in order to view life through Suggie’s eyes and write the melody of her soul.
