About the Book

Eric Littlejohn lives at home with his widowed mother in a modest terraced house. He joins his friends on numerous sporting adventures, but unfortunately for the hapless Eric, it always seems to end in disaster or he is the unfortunate victim of their boyish pranks. Waterskiing and windsurfing and even his driving lessons ended in complete failure. It was during a night out to celebrate his eighteenth birthday with the same group of friends that he stumbles across Gloria, the eldest daughter of wealthy parents, in the most unlikely of circumstances. Despite a heated exchange, Eric is smitten and from that point onward his life is transformed. His previous encounters with girls had been limited to the obsessive attentions of his younger cousin Jane and a stripper-gram arranged for his birthday. Both proved troublesome but it was his cousin Jane who eventually assisted him in his quest for the lovely Gloria. Amidst accusations of terrorism and hostage taking in a local store, the two lovers were eventually thrown together once more. Over the next few months Eric’s life changed dramatically and their love developed into an ultimate climax. ‘Eric and the red shoes’ follows the development of a close and amusing relationship between the luckless Eric and the beautiful Gloria.
