The amazing thing is that I never was in shock nor did I lose consciousness. I could still rememder when they put me into the ambulance, and arriving at the hospital. The doctor asked me a lot of questions; I was able to answer every one of them including how to contact my father. After giving him the information I didn't remember anything else until I woke up forty days later.
Chapter Two- A Blessing to Remember
In the summer in the early 70s. I layed down across the bed, and then I heard someone calling my name. I turned over and it was Pearl's oldest daughter, she said, " Look the house is on fire".

About the Author
Norma Denise Chapman was born in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. She was deeply loved by her grandmother Prencie Johnson. She is a mother of two lovely daughters. She has one grandaughter that gives her joy from day to day, also one grandson that is decease. She is very devoted in helping others. Her parents Rev. James Chapman Sr and Jera L. Hackett, are her proud and joy, wonderful and supporting stepmother Brenda Chapman. She was inspired throughtout her life by her aunt Ruby Willis and Rose Lee Francis( Fabulous Rose ). She love to study law. Her family inspire others with their talent in singing, and playing music namely her brother Emerson Chapman. Her father and his brothers are known throughout the states of Louisiana and Mississippi, as the Chapman Brothers Gospel Singers. Topsy Chapman her aunt along with her two daughters are also an inspiration to her. Above all she love to tell about the goodness of God and how blessed she has been thoughout her life. She gives all the honor and glory to God.
