Staying Silent

The cafeteria is the place where you actually see high school for what it really is...grouped off. You got your jocks, your cheerleaders, goody goods, computer geeks, foreign exchange students, goths, and any other cliques you can think. Where do I fit in? Nowhere. "Taz over here", Maggie ushers me over to a group of cheerleaders. "Oh please god no", I roll my eyes at all of them in their cute little outfits and pretty little faces. I'd look totally out of place. I already am out of place. "Hey", I set my tray down and swing my leg over the side of the bench. "Taz this is Ashlee, Brittany, Jessica, Molly, Alyssa, Mackenzie, and Olivia", Maggie smiles as she introduces me to all of them.I stuff potatoes in my mouth. Olivia lamore is the captain, queen of the school, girlfriend of the captain of the football team. Typical mean girls I'd say, they look so innocent sitting their with only a bottle of water, how pathetic. "Mags, these are cheerleaders, there is no way I can be a cheerleader", I mumbled to her gulping down the potatoes. "Don't be silly Tazzy", Maggie swishes her light brown hair and pats me on the shoulder. "Hey you should go to the game with me", Maggie mentions, her eyes getting wide with excitement. "Tazzy?" I ignore her and ask myself shoving more potatoes into my mouth. I glance at all the cheerleaders, they look disgusted. I give them a potatoe filled smile. I hate cheerleaders, they're so peppy always trying to make us have school spirit. Well you know what I don't have any school spirit whatsoever. I refuse to take pride in my high school, It sucks and I know it. It's too bad no one else seems to agree with me...
