About the Book

I remember the reason I started this biz, it was about a beautiful friend named Anne-Marie.  She lived most of her life in suffering.  Try as she may she could not find peace.   Until the moment came, she brought me in so that I could see something that was meant only for me.  I stood and I watched as she was released hovering about with no pain for she was finally at peace.  She looked to me she wanted to go back but then she realized I’m free, free at last!

She showed me a few more unique things to confirm that this was no ordinary dream.  So to her I write this intro and to let others know no longer do they have to live in suffering, no longer does death have to loom over them.  As I stood there watching…saying goodbye, yet not to that of the unseen.  I had no fear; I had no grief; because I knew…I knew she was finally at peace.

Please read on to the tales that have been interwoven into my life as it has unfolded.  There is much truth to each tale, many of which have come from voices that guided me to hear of their tales and to write of their truths.  When the final ticket is called, where would we go…if not back home?

This book goes out to my beautiful friend who planted the seed so many years ago, though forgotten for a time until just a few years back.  As I lie aching in pain, in doubt, that doctors could not explain a voice gently said to me blocking out all the pain…turn your poems into cards.

About the Author

Micheal B. was born in 1974, Des Moines, Iowa.  His first attempt at suicide was when he was nine years old, but his brother stopped him.  At this early age, he knew that he was not fit for this world.  Again at fourteen, he almost died from alcohol poisoning, but his mother found.  School was filled with hate but love also shined into his darkened soul.

Shrouded by alcohol, drugs, race, and longing for home had always been a way of life for Micheal until he found a way to live without drugs or a drink.  The line though that he still walks is that of spirit and flesh, or ego and soul.  Daily asking himself if this is truly the ultimate reality then what have I been doing all these years?   And if it is not then whom truly do I serve?
Finishing this book is the second of many tasks he has set out to do.  He took to inspiring others that needed healing when he launched I: A.M. Message cards.  This all manifested when he heard a voice while lying on the floor of his job in pain tell him to turn his poems into cards.  Since then he has sold/ given away more than 1,000 cards, paintings, and inspirational messages.
He and his family, wife, Mary, daughter, Faith, and son, Micheal, now reside in  Houston, Texas.  Life has put him in the last state to set slaves free.  This place would be the last place to finally set his soul free from the drink and back toward the beam.  Micheal’s only wish is that others understand that the writings might have been made from his hand but not from him for he is just a nail that God has hammered through the veil.
