About the Author

Delors Craig Walker lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with her husband Glenn D. Walker Sr., they have six children, fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Delors is an ordained minister and holds as Associated Degree in Theology.

She has been a pastor for eight years, and a chaplin for two years at a local Developmental Center in Tuscaloosa. Delors and her husband has opened up their home to care for disabled veterans,  Mrs Walker has worked as a licensed barber, seamstress, girls scout leader and hospice volunteer. She is a certified HIV and AIDS prevention instructor and was featured in the 1997 Association For Female Executives Membership Directory.

 Mrs Walker is currently working at a local hospital in Tuscaloosa as a licensed practical nurse. She has been there for  over twenty one years.She is very active and involved in family, church,community and humanitarian affairs. Her love for God and family as well as for her fellowman, and her wealth of experiences on this journey of life have been captured, in all of its pleasure and pain and put together in this book . She describes purple as the color of her life. Purple represent the many joys and sorrows, suffering and pain, sickness and disease and all that she has experience first hand, losses as well as gains . Mrs. Walker states that her greatest accomplishments is not the things she desire to achieve but the things God allow her to achieve thru her service to him.
