About the Author

Author Ona Sue Crisp lives on 5 acres in Northern California with her husband, Ben. She enjoys being entertained by the squirrels, birds and other wild animals living in her backyard which inspire her to write children’s books and poetry, as well as poetry for adults. When she’s not writing she can be found in her garden cultivating hot peppers and coaxing along a patch of cilantro which her husband loves! Illustrator Kim Boyko lives on the prairies of South Dakota. She spends most of her time cleaning and doing laundry for her family and frequently toys with the idea of teaching them the fine art of using the washing machine. She likes to cook, quilt and garden when she’s not nursing some wounded bunny, bird or cat the kids bring home.
