Weight loss. Why is it such a vicious cycle? Why does it seem unattainable for us as a community, despite the hundreds of diet plans available? Why do we as Blacks lead in the highest percentage of obesity cases in all gender, age and ethnic groups to date? These questions deserve convincing and satisfying answers.
This book acknowledges that people of African descent could come from of all parts of the earth including from Jamaica, Africa, Canada, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Central America, Europe or elsewhere. Given such, we would simply like to specifically address some unique challenges that “Blacks” encounter on their journey to complete wellness including obesity.
It should be emphasized that when you are “well” you are not obese, as we have come to understand that obesity is a disorder. The two go hand in hand. Of course though, not all thin people are well either; based on the sheer fact that they don’t have fat in their body puts them at great risk too with their overall health. This is why understanding how to be well in general is also revealed in this book, making it relevant for all, big and small.
With regards to obesity many of us will allow ourselves to just be swayed by whatever our peers tell us without conducting any research of our own to try to answer some of these questions that come to mind.
We are inundated with T.M.I. (Too Much Information) and every one of us is in a state of information overload.
Being so, it is fully understood that you are not merely looking for more information that has simply been recycled, but rather you want solutions that will give you tangible results at the precise moment that you need it. You want trusted resources that have already sifted through information, filtered it out, leaving only that which is perfect for you in a way that is useful and enjoyable.
In this book, we will answer all the questions you may have had unanswered before; done just so, in a clear concise manner without getting too technical as many other articles, books, and other informational sources often do. This written work of art will reveal all the hidden schemes that mainstream society has kept from us, and break it down so that a 3-year old can understand why we as “Blacks” have been unsuccessful as a whole at getting and/or keeping the weight off.
When you have finished reading this book and taking in all of the insightful, thought-provoking, up close and personal, and in-your-face delivery of information - you will have no doubts about what to avoid and what method you should employ to end this repetitive cycle of obesity and sickness.
