A child's head is lifted up and out
As the stopwatch begins the countdown
Of breaths, and cries, and blinking eyes...
Smiles and frowns. Then tears and screams
A tiny heart flutters it's fibrillations
As each page of the story blows forward as in a windstorm
Each day the child grows another page of life is written
Journal entry day 1 through year 80 if God allows
Waking every morning his footsteps write his novel
The plot thickens through science fiction
To adventure, romance, and horror
The child's biography is scripted by each word that builds his language
A flourished wisdom numbers his pages as on and on the story goes
A dialogue of character unfolds
A charismatic documentary of
Losses, triumphs, moments and new experience...
Pages etched carefully like stigmata marks on holy hands
Time tolls swiftly through each chapter
Just how will the story end?

The girl who chased people and begged for their attention because she felt it was the most important thing on the planet to obtain. The woman who filled journals with her dreams, lifted her prayers to the feet of Christ, and started over every morning. These are the thoughts that float in your skull and are trapped behind your lips when you are attempting to be polite. Forget the rules and boundaries. Grab hold to your own truth. Take your creative freedom and explore your world until there are no such things as limits. These are not just mere words and phrases. This is Life. This is Healing. This is POETRY.
