About the Author
Jerry Radford is publisher of the highly respected Superscout Women’s Basketball Report, a recruiting service subscribed to by colleges at all levels. Radford is a former Division I basketball coach, having served as recruiting coordinator of Virginia Commonwealth University’s women’s basketball program for seven years. He also coached at Five-Star Basketball Camp for a number of years under the direction of Dave Odom, head men’s coach at the University of South Carolina. Radford is a former college basketball player and major league baseball signee. During the early eighties, Radford jumped on the women’s basketball bandwagon while president of Radford/Stewart Advertising, an ad agency he led for twenty-eight years. He established and coached in a summer league in Richmond, Virginia sanctioned by the NCAA. Superscout Women’s Basketball Report evolved from the summer league and he published the report until he accepted the coaching position at VCU. Upon early retirement, and at the request of many college coaches, Radford re-established the report. Using Superscout as the tool, Radford has helped hundreds of colleges find players and thousands of players find colleges.
