About the Book

Our story began as youngsters and will some day end up as aging women, but my Anjie and I  will always be "Two Silly Sisters from Budapest."  In essence, our travels of fourteen years took us from central New Jersey, down south to Florida, into the mountains of Colorado, to the lone star state of Texas, through exciting Mexico and the sunny shores of California.  After a two year rest back home in New Jersey, we traveled to the fountains of Italy, saw gondolas in Venice, touched the green grass of Ireland, learned the culture of Japan and saw the beautiful blue waters of Hawaii.  Life was good to us, my Anjie!

About the Author

As a young teenager, I was told by many friends that I had a gift for making up stories and maybe someday I would become a writer.  At 15, that wasn’t a priority, but I still continued to buy composition pads and wrote whatever came to mind. I loved to write about people most of all and wanted to make them laugh.  My childhood was not the best, so maybe writing was my way of escaping into a happy zone.  Moving to Florida with my husband in 1999, I opened a small doll shop as I had a passion for collecting dolls. Within a year of opening, the hurricanes took their direct path and I lost my shop. My husband also lost his job as he did landscaping. It was a bad time for us and others. In the meantime I started to turn my grief to writing. I was the happiest when I had that pen in my hand and saw the results of my “other passion” on paper.  Putting away the manuscripts from time to time, I wrote just for me.  Moving to Colorado two years ago for family reasons, I wanted to write and it was all I could think about. Taking out the hidden manuscript of my first venture, I read and re-read it and wanted to share it with others who like to laugh.  Thus, my first book “Two Silly Sisters From Budapest” came into existence. Sharing joy, laughter, and events of life make me the happiest I have ever been. For every bit of pain, there is a two-fold grain of joy thrown in somewhere, even if we do not recognize it.  I have learned  to follow your heart and make your dream  come true. It did for me. It can for you too. Just believe in yourself, even through the hard times. Those times made me stronger, focused and the woman I am today.
