Tell It Straight is an inspirational book of poems which aim is to reach out to every sector of our society, from the homeless who sleeps under a bridge to the most affluent who lives in a mansion. It is written in a simplistic style, but the message behind each and every poem is highly significant, extremely powerful, and undoubtedly compelling. For example, a baby who’s asking her mother several questions in regards to a drastic decision she has made, or a single woman who was once married, but finds herself raising her two boys alone while someone is encouraging her not to give up after she has reached a pivotal point in her life, or a family man whose invariable belief in family values helps him live honorably in spite of all difficulties in order to sustain his wife and further his children’s education, and so on.
One must read this made-to-inspire-and-motivate book to understand the various messages it’s conveying. It portrays characters with exceptional moral and family values, unbelievable strength, admirable complaisance, great sense of ethics, the ability to withstand the vicissitude of life with dignity, etc. It is imperative that it should be in everyone’s possession.
