Light In The Window
Lord, I've gone away for a while
To see the world on my own.
I't's not what I expected.
I've seen things I had never known.
I'm not happy here,
And I want to come home.
If you'll take me back into your heart,
I promise you, I'll never roam.
I'm sending you this message
and asking for a sign.
If I see a light in your window,
You'll mend this broken heart of mind.
I know you've forgiven me
Time and time again,
And each time I repaid you
With yet a bigger sin.
I will understand if your light for me
Will no longer shine.
I know that it's my fault.
All the blame is mine.

As I walk up to your home,
I can't believe what I see!
There's a light in every window
That you placed there just for me.

Every Day Heroes
Our children laugh and play all day.
We watch and protect, so that they may.
Every day heroes in everyday lives,
Some could be husbands, some could be wives.
A father who teaches a child right from wrong,
A mother who holds them all night long.
While we protect the ones we love so deep,
There are heroes who protect us as we sleep.
A stranger who’ll put his life on the line.
One who’ll defend your rights and mine.
A husband, a father, a wife, a son.
People defending the freedom we’ve won.
Many are those who go far away,
So that here in safety, we may stay.
To the heroes that make sure that I sleep safe at night,
The brave souls that protect what is right,
I give you my thanks and to God I’ll send a prayer.
While you’re protecting me here, I’ll ask that he protects you there.
