ITS HARD OUT HERE ON A PARENT

            A single parents writes to a clergy says, “ I don’t think people realize

how  hard it is being a single parent.  My two boys will both be teenagers  in

a  few years,  and I  worry  all the  time  about  what  might happen to them.”

She’s  worried  and  rightly  so.  Its  hard  out  here  for two committed func-

tional  parents,  let  along just  one  who  carries the whole load for whatever

rhyme or reasons.

            There’s something  to  Hillary  Clinton’s “  it takes a  village  to raise

most kids if  not all kids.”   There’s  the school system, law enforcement, the
