About the Author
Paul A Lanoue, of Lowell Massachusetts
A son of Alfred and Germaine Lanoue. He has six brothers and two sisters. He attended St. Josephs Elementary School and continued at Lowell High School, where he received his diploma in business. He became a member of the football team in September of 1965 and ended his career in 1967 where he was a member of the 1967 undefeated Lowell Juggernauts who produced 33 points a game and let only 12 points score against them. As a senior he joined the wrestling team and without any experience he challenged himself and succeeded. He was the only wrestler ever without a day of experience to capture the sectional, the state, and New England titles. He was also winner of the Olympic regional championship which led him to compete in the Olympic Trials once in 1968 and again in 1972. He continued in college for two years as a wrestler and went undefeated and won two open tournaments.
