About the Book

There are times in our lives when God moves in and directly intervenes; it usually takes us by surprise and makes no sense. However, from God’s perspective, He is bringing us to a Strategic Cherith to prepare us for greater effectiveness – His definition.

In this workbook format, Bruce Gordon takes his readers on a journey to explore God’s Strategic Cheriths; what are they, what do they mean and why do they occur. Why are they so significant from God’s perspective? Why does author F. B. Meyer use these words to describe them “ Every saintly soul that would wield great power with others, must win it in some hidden Cherith”.

About the Author

Bruce and Denise have been married for 38 years and have three married sons, 2 granddaughters and a grandson. 

Bruce holds a Professional Accounting Designation ( CGA),  MBA and an Honourary Doctorate of Education.

Bruce has been involved in a number of Organizations in ownership and Senior Administrative positions. They have included President of Tyndale College & Seminary, Toronto, President of  Focus on the Family, Canada and Adjunct Faculty for the Department of Business of Trinity Western University (TWU) and Senior Advisor to the President, Power to Change ( formerly Campus Crusade for Christ , Canada ). Bruce is also a Senior Advisor to Dr. Roger Birkman, Birkman International Inc.

Bruce & Denise established Mentor Matrix Services Inc. www.mentormatrix.com, in 2001, with the mission “ To assist organizations manage development and growth through maximizing the effectiveness of their people and other resources, thus achieving their mission / vision.” Bruce and his Associates are resources on Board Governance, Leadership Development, Teambuilding and Executive Coaching to Para Church Ministries, Corporations and Denominations and have consulted in North America, United Kingdom, India, China, Europe, Africa, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.  Some of these include Campus Crusade for Christ,  World Vision, SIM, Navigators, Saddleback Church, Common Wealth Credit Union etc. 

Bruce is a Consultant and Trainer with Birkman International Inc., Houston, Texas, www.birkman.com. He is an Associate with Triaxia Partners, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia, www.triaxiapartners.com . He is also an Executive Coach.

Denise is also a Consultant with Birkman International Inc as well as a Coach/Mentor.

Bruce and Denise speak extensively on leadership and teambuilding and are a Speaker Couple for the Family Life Marriage Conferences.

Always striving for balance, they enjoy their family, fun days, entertaining, jogging and reading. They reside in Vancouver, British Columbia.
