How do you develop a truly lasting relationship with God? How do you get to the place where your worship is untainted by the cares of this world? When do you move from “as unto man” to “as unto God”? These are some of the questions that have plagued believers for centuries. It would not be considered worship if there wasn’t some sort of thoughtful, inspired groundwork involved. Theologians and spiritual philosophers alike have penned many a book diving into the subject of worship, giving every directive known to man on how to seek God in His fullness.
We spend so much time seeking the “hand of God” – meaning that we are always asking for something and looking for what God can do for us instead of how we can be of service to Him. It is time to seek the “face of God” - the part of Him that provides wisdom, guidance and instruction for the steps of your life. Knowing that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord (Psalms 37:23), how does a “good man” expect to receive the map for those steps? They come through relationship with God. When you cultivate intimacy with the Lord He begins to shed light on the path that will lead you to your destiny.
When seeking His face, we invite God to look deep into our souls and see us as we originated – vessels of honor created to give Him glory. When you seek the face of God, a relationship is built and developed and then, the blessings begin to fall from His hands into your life!
There is a moving song by Pastor William Murphy, III which speaks about running after God. Every time I hear it I am stirred up with the passion that comes from seeking God’s face. It makes me want to run after Him in hot pursuit. There is a verse that is so powerful and pivotal that it can change your walk if you let it. “Lead me on and I will run after you.” It puts me in the mind frame of the woman with the issue of blood who heavily pursued the Lord through throngs of people, even after physicians had given up on her. There is a place in God that is so sacred and special that only the truly hungry will be able to gain access. The ordinary just won’t do. Why stop at the tip of worship and not take it to the next level? Why settle for a brief encounter with the Most High God when you can press beyond the entrance of worship and enter into a place that is all-consuming? Often, most people stop at the gate of worship where everything is comfortable and there is not much work involved on our part. It is God who blesses and responds to us; all He asks is that we come to Him with the same amount of willingness. It takes a hunger and thirst after righteousness to meet God in a place that transcends beyond who you are, beyond your current situations and all you have gone through, beyond all of your shortcomings and misconceptions, and most importantly, beyond your flesh.

About the Book
This handbook is for all Worship Leaders and worshippers in general who want to experience God in a different way. The time has come to leave “church as usual” behind and this same idea filters into the genre of Praise and Worship.
It is time to meet God in a new place…beyond the veil -that realm between the ripped veil and the glory of His presence. We often let the worship experience take us into the Tabernacle, but we get lost somewhere between the inner court and the Holy of Holies. God is waiting for us to go beyond the dominion of casual worship and enter into the place that enlightens and allows us to receive change. When we change our perception – everything around us will change. Change how you look at things and the things around you will indeed appear different. This all happens in worship.
The text holds secrets that have been developed by worshipers from every walk of life. It is full of lessons that we complete every day throughout our Christian walk. See them as “impractical” guidelines because this book is not about the typical ways to enter into worship. You won’t find the “how to’s” and the “when to’s” here. But what you will find are methods that have been tested, tried and proven to cause a memorable and personal encounter with the Lord each time you attempt to meet Him. This handbook outlines common tools that are sometimes overlooked, but when used effectively, can and will enhance one’s walk with God.
About the Author
Angélique Black McKoy was raised in one of Harlem’s most prominent Episcopal churches, St. Philips Episcopal Church. With the hand of God consistently moving in her life, even from a young age, and upon receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit in February 1990, she joined the Love Fellowship Crusade Choir under the direction of Overseer Hezekiah Walker. Being groomed by Overseer Walker, she accepted the Call to Ministry at the tender age of 21.
As one of the initial members of the Love Fellowship Tabernacle, The Kingdom Church in
As Director, Praise & Worship and as an anointed psalmist and song writer, she ushers congregations into the presence of God and teaches the methods of entering God’s presence.
She is currently pursuing her Degree in Worship Arts from the Worship Arts Conservatory in
