On April 6, 1986, I woke up at 10:36 a.m and Marcus was gone. I opened my eyes and immediately felt that there was something wrong in the room. As I placed my feet on the floor, I began to feel darkness in the room. I said to myself, "No, he can't be!" I looked over at Xavier to see if he was breathing. When I didn't see any movement, I stood up and called my son's name. I began walking to Xavier's bed, softly saying, "Xavier, Xavier." He did not move like he would normally do. When I got closer, I reached down to pick him up and his head fell back into my arms. I began to scream, "No, no he can't be dead!" I yelled, "TJ! TJ! Xavier is dead! Please make him breathe!" TJ came into the room and said, "What are you talking about? Thundercat ain't dead!" (Thundercat was the nickname TJ had given him) TJ went over to pick Xavier up and replied, "Kim he is dead. Call the ambulance." He then took a towel and placed it softly over his little body.

There is so much to say about a woman who doesn’t know the meaning of the word “can’t.” Kimily has the passion to heal, deliver, and set free. God uses this passion to continuously renew her faith, instilling her belief that “with Christ all things are possible.” Although Kimily has had more than her fair share of obstacles to overcome, she is, what one may call, a “Bodacious woman of Faith” – an individual who quickly arises at the sound of God’s voice, with great conviction. When weaknesses are not acknowledged and dealt with accordingly, the individual is inevitably suffocated by their own challenges. When reading through the pages of this book, you will witness Kimily’s ability to persevere through the “miry muck” and walk forth in great favor and God given ability.

About the Author
Kimily Thompson is a very loving, caring and driven individual. A true humanitarian; she seeks to impact the lives of others, by offering nonjudgmental counsel and advice through the arts. Aside from being a minister, author, playwright and singer with a group called Chosen, her ministry is to inspire life, by helping to develop and nurture ongoing spiritual growth patterns in the lives of others.
Her book, From Crack to Christ, is transferred from pages to platform, giving birth to a stage play titled after her book. The play was successfully produced in 1996 and has been attended by large audiences. In sharing her story, she has succeeded in touching the hearts of many.
Aside from her many talents, Kimily is indeed a leader in the community. Kimily has founded a support group titled, R.A.P.-Releasing All Pain and has organized a Walk-A-Thon Awareness.
