About the Book

If you like books that do nothing but feed you more reality than the real world does on its own, this book is for you.  A book with all the key elements in life that make it real and worth living: Adventure, Sex, Drugs, Rebels, Daredevils, and Finger-Pointing Bull-shitters.  Anyone can read it and enjoy it, no matter how derogatory it may be.  Besides, it's meant to be fun.

About the Author

Here it is.  The first work of a first.  Nineteen-year-old Hunter A. Winfrey writes way beyond his age, in both subject and experience.  My unique friend writes with passion, using his pen like a machete.  Don’t be alarmed of the reality of these readings as if you’ve heard these conversations or been in these situations moments prior.  Winfrey’s passion isn’t just for writing, or for words, but for putting down on paper the lives and happenings around him, and the effect they have on him, whether good or bad; and then adding a meaning to it, even if there wasn’t meant to be one; placing his peers, elders, friends and the assholes that surround him into characterization, literally glorifying their existence.  Sometimes stories can be out of reach or too unfathomable to understand or relate to.  This is not the case.

            Hunter A. Winfrey sees, feels, hurts, and laughs at the pain.  After a read or two you will want to know what, how, and why.  It’s not uncommon to look to him or his work for answers.  I have and got more than I bargained for.  There is no holding back here.  Winfrey will not attempt to alter the text to please the story or the reader.  This is true and alive.  Writing like he’s got something to prove to the gods.  As if he were put here to see this world exactly as it is and write it exactly how it is.  And if he doesn’t he’ll be summoned to hell.  A native of the small Texas town called Fredericksburg, Hunter A. Winfrey now resides in Austin, Texas, where he pursues his art.  If you ask him, he’ll tell you he’s there to create a splash.  I’ve seen him take the bite and spit it right back out.  This is serious, so read it seriously.

            You’ll be seeing more out of H.A.W. Much more.  And it won’t be in five years either. This is a writer anxious to raise his voice and be heard.  There are always new signs to lead you in different directions.  Let us all be aware of this striking, young writer and expect nothing but more from him.  Here is our fresh breath.  A real piece of work that actually contains some sense and some balls.  Enjoy my friends.
