Every day is a brand new day
It's fresh as a brand new slate,
Please renew my mind and make my heart soft
And remove all resentment and hate.
I'm grateful you gave me another day
A blessing, I so want to be
Please guide me and guard me in all that I do
So others will see You in me.
Your words give me wisdom, and pearls of truth
They gently rebuke me, when wrong,
I search for Your truth and guidance each day
As I trust in You all day long.

About the Book
This gift book of poetry is a collection of "pearls" of God's truths and promises. These poems and prayers were written in Janet's journal during her quiet times with God each morning. As she read and meditated on various scriptures from the bible, she was inspired to write about joy, hope, comfort, and thanksgiving. God spoke to her heart through His written word, and she wishes to speak to the reader's heart of her Heavenly Father's love for all.
About the Author
Janet is a wife, mom, and "Gigi" to her grandchildren. She lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and enjoys leading weekly devotionals at a local nursing home. She has written articles for "Mature living' and Proverbs 31 Woman", and is a published poet, lyricist of the song."Hope" and author of the book, A Collection of Silver Threads.
