The Door

“Who are you” she said fear crawling all over her.

“I am your tormentor” the man replied as he pushed the woman back in to the room shutting the door behind him.

The two policemen turned on him and tried to grab him by the arms, in one movement they both flew across the cell hitting the wall hard.  They staggered to their feet and ran at the man.  This time the fat policeman slumped to the floor as a razor sharp knife cut across his Achilles tendon, the second man hit the floor some two feet away with a knife stuck in his throat.

With both policemen down the woman tried to reach the door, only to be grabbed by the neck and held one handed in the air.  The man spun her around several times and smashed her against the wall, she fell in a heap unconscious.

 One by one all they were hung on the wall in the cell next to Janos. 

The man made sure each of them were conscious and then told them what was going to happen to them.

“I am your tormentor, I am going to skin each of you alive, then I am going to cut your arms and legs off, then if you are still alive I am going to disembowel you and finally I am going to condemn your souls to hell for ever.”

The man started on the fat man while the other two watched in horror, not a sound came out of their mouths even though they tried to scream.  Janos watched on, hanging there like the others but not suffering their fate.

After what seemed to be an age the head of police came in to the cell with two colleagues.  All three men turned away and vomited at the sight that met them and one of them almost slipped in the blood pooled on the cell floor near the door.  The head of police realised that Janos was alive he hurried to her aid gesturing to his colleagues to help.

“Janos I am sorry I did not know forgive us” he said as he tried to free her.  She collapsed in a heap on the floor covered in blood although most of it was not her own she began sobbing uncontrollably, she grabbed at a towel and robe offered to her by one of the guards and wrapped herself in it hugging the towel as though it was a comforter from her childhood.  The place was full of half crazed policemen, some weeping openly, some quietly getting on with the gruesome task of cleaning the place but all totally shocked at the brutality of the attack.  A young female office worker came in to the cell to help Janos in to the main office.  The ambulance arrived about twenty minutes later and took Janos away to the local hospital.
