Divine God, I sing unto thee.
I ask not for much , the shade from a tree.
A bent bough to cradle me under,
so I can lie back and acknowledge the wonder.
I ask not for much but the rain from a cloud,
to nourish this land of which you are proud.
I ask not for much but to hear the birds sing,
I cling to each note, they make my heart ring.
I ask not for much, but the laughter of love
for when it is shared, we can soar like the dove.
I ask not for much but what's pure, simple and true.
When my life's over, can i spend it with you?

About the Book
Many Years lived and Life Experience is how Soul Evolution came to be. Putting human thoughts, feelings and emotions into words has always been a way for me , and others to “ purge “ emotional baggage through the written word. I am sure many of you will see and feel yourselves in these words.
About the Author
After sharing some personal poetry with friends, As a young girl Jodi Perito was encouraged by classmates and teachers to write personal poetry for them. then the requests came from, clients and Co -workers. She has always had the ability to put a human experience into the written word. Jodi is a classically trained pianist, holding the "Mrs. Colorado American Queen" title in 1992-93 Working as a hairdresser for nearly 30 years , owning her own salon she connected with men, women and children from all "walks", "faiths" , '"cultures" "ages" of humanity, becoming deeply educated in being, living and feeling all things throughout all stages, of the human cycle of life. Jodi suffered a traumatic brain injury August 17, 2002 . After waking from her coma with 2 fractures in her spine, loosing most of her sight and becoming a member of the handicapped community, this book project nearly did not happen. she is of the belief we are more alike than there are differences between us.
