Plans to convert an entire continent to Islam start with the construction of the Cairo to Cape Town railway.  Financed by the IDB (Islamic Development Bank) an army of zealots knits nations together with iron rails.  Five years into the project and Uganda is securely welded to the Mohammedan countries in the north.  The next phase is to replace the President with a Moslem leader then move southwards.

The story follows the exploits of three Ugandan assassins, two mercenaries training the new Saracen army and an arm’s dealer supplying the weaponry.  Belatedly the authorities become aware of the plot and try to prevent the impending disaster.  This novel plaits these strands into a saga set against the picturesque backdrop of East Africa.
