About the Book

The sudden, violent death of a much loved baby daughter, and their opposing ways of coming to terms with grief, play havoc with the passionate and happy marriage of Peter and Sophie.

A supportive group of friends, sexual therapy and, finally, a decision to make a new life in the Lot region of France all fail to keep the marriage together. They both become involved in other relationships.

And then Sophie has an unplanned baby.

About the Author

Daphne Holbrook is married with two children and has worked in the field of Child Psychiatry for many years. She lives in London and has spent much time in the Lot region of south-west France. Both places feature in this first novel.
