Bowden's South Pass Justice

About the Book

South Pass’s Town Marshal, Jim Bowden, is legally restrained from investigating the murder of a family friend because the crime occurred outside of his legal jurisdiction. That is, restrained until his close friend, Territorial Marshal Phil Howard is ambushed and deputizes Bowden and his deputy Scratchy to investigate the crime.  Freed from their legal restraints, Bowden and Scratchy begin their investigation.  As usual, Bowden follows his hunches, and as usual, those hunches lead him into trouble.  He’s determined to gather enough evidence to arrest his evil suspects, the Striker brothers, and prosecute them according to the law of the territory, but, in the end the Striker brothers leave him no choice but to deliver Bowden’s South Pass Justice!

About the Author

Robert H. Henry: Cowboy, Actor and Poet.  His unique understanding of survival and fair play in the 1800’s and his love of the outdoors and  western adventure led to the creation of “Bowden Rides the Outlaw Trail”, “Bowden– The Lawless”  and now, “Bowden’s South Pass Justice” Henry is a California native.  He enjoys his family life, his writing and his ranch.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:  Watson (Mike) Gilmore has made a career of his interest and love of art.  He is an accomplished actor and artist. At age 83, his sketches appeared throughout “Bowden Rides the Outlaw trail” At age 85 they appeared throughout “Bowden – The Lawless” and now at age 87 he has done it again!  See his unique sketches throughout “Bowden’s South Pass Justice”.  His sketches are captivating and unique in their form and expression.  You won’t be able to resist the surprise expressions and will laugh at his accurate depiction of the characters and places.
