About the Book

Betrayal and Deceit

Martin Smith is a excellent seller, working in a successful bank. Married to a beautiful wife, he has it all, or does he? All is not what it seems to the outside world.

What events could turn this straight-laced, conscientious husband into a bank robber, a fugitive on the run? What transformation would need to happen to drive this man to leave the seemingly perfect life behind?

The panic attacks, the mounting bills, a spend thrift wife and then the ultimate betrayal will lead to the absolute deceit.

Then the chase begins…

About the Author

I am a recently separated/divorced man with two boys and yes I work in a bank. And yes the character in the book, which looks like being a trilogy is based loosely on me.

Although most of the scenarios happen on a daily basis in a bank, I have used writers licence with some of the procedures to allow the book to flow more fluently, therefore before any fraudsters out there getting any ideas or my employer gets too concerned it would be virtually impossible to defraud my bank in this way. As for any other banks, be warned. I do feel It does not detract from the story, whatsoever.

As for me, I am a debut author, who started this project as a pet hobby to be honest, but it grew from a little acorn into large oak tree of an idea. Originally a one-off project, it grew before my eyes into something more exciting than I could ever have imagined!

I am an avid reader of various genre’s ranging from Stephen King to Dean Koontz, from James Patterson to John Grisham, Ian Rankin to Tolkien to James Herbert. I was always being ribbed in the tearoom at work for always having my nose stuck in a book and Stephen King’s book “On writing” gave me the confidence to have a go myself.

My family and friends, who have read the book have all asked the same question, “Who wrote the book, really?”, so I must be onto something here, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed writing it and as for Martin Smith, well you will have to wait and see…
