About the Author

     Baltimore's own local writer may be under the radar screen, but his bodies of works are definitely showing up all over the place.  When asked which side of the town he grew up on, Mr. Carter remarks "Both sides" indicating that whenever the "rent man" showed up the other side of town is where his family would move.  Nevertheless, Mr. Carter's strong sense of humor continuously emanates from his conversations.

      Autobiographical, "Don't View Until After My Demise", chronicles Mr. Carter's core life values and belief systems.  Hard hitting and in your face expressions of Mr. Carter's life leaves one to believe that the entire world has had a sheltered life except him.  What you gather from reading this book is a testimony of preseverance, the sheer will to move forward, and a greater sense of inner responsibilities to his family, i.e., his five children, (B.A.C.C.K.) the acronym of the first names of all of his children.

     His experience, humor, values and beliefs have been poured into this present fictional book, "Cocky".  Without the boundaries that surround non-fictional material hindering his imagination, Mr. Carter has reopened doors to original reading material. 

     Without giving too much away, this book ("Cocky") will make you laugh until you finish crying about being angry.  This is not your stereotypical urban black man, living  the city life with alley cat sex, shiny cars, and selling drugs book.  It's a must read!
