About the Book
A Texas cowboy in the year 1871 is in state prison. He encounters a strange 'Passing Shadow'. It brings questions about the condition of his mind. He is released from prison, works on the Bar-S cattle ranch in south Texas. He begans an intense search for the four outlaws who framed him. He meets and woos beautiful, blond Hannah, a German girl who has come from Frankfurt. He drives a large herd of cattle up the famous Chisholm trail to Abilene, Kansas. The drive encounters cattle stampedes, thunderstorms, shoot-outs, rustlers, hostile Indians and Kansas extortioners. He returns to Texas finds the four outlaws, clears his name and is married to Hannah. They finish their lives on the Bar-S ranch...
About the Author
Charlie Ingram is a true "West Texan." He was born in the town of Ranger, Eastland, County, Texas during a rip roaringTexas Oil Boom. His family moved to the central Texas town of Mexia during another Oil Boom. Charlie always held a love of the "Texas Mistic." He devoured the Saturday afternoon western movies with stars like Tom Mix and Ken Maynerd. He is an accomplished Native American portrait artist. He has branched out to writing in the western genre. He is currently writing his second novel set in the year 1875 around the town of Mexia, where he was raised.
