MORNING STAR I looked up into the indigo brilliance only to see the morning star, There I saw your face etched in light knowing you had't gone that far. Struck with awe I simply sighed as the magic tasseled down, There in my heart I felt the beat where only loving deep is found. Pink and blue the horizon shone as the background to my heart, When suddenly I came to see a miracle in which I played a part. Light upon light, love upon love, I knew I'd found my place, For only do the heavens realize Love is found in your embrace. Morning Star shine down brightly on me as we begin one more joyful day To give me hope and wisdom while love guides me on my way. All my cares are tossed aside now to that brilliant sparkle above, For we two know the answers truth contentment is found in love. QUESTION I built my castles in the sky of dreams and illusions bright I waited patiently all the while Yet, they never blessed my sight I cried, I laughed, praying hard For the heavens to answer my plea None came true, that I knew and, I wondered 'Why not me?' So, I sat down unable to move As my heart began to grieve Then, I heard an angel whisper 'All you had to do was believe." A LITTLE BIT OF MAGIC "Honestly, people do have the strangest ideas about angels," Borden blurted out loud. His blond hair hung over his eyes, and he shook it away as he gave Madison a sympathetic grin. Almost as if he was taunting him, Borden said, "She is your charge, don't forget, not mine." I laughed at such honesty as Borden stood off to the left shaking his head back and forth denoting himself as an observer only. Madison remained nonchalant as if he hadn't heard, or didn't care. I, meanwhile, could not unlock my eyes from the tint of golden, bronze that pierced my own. Without words he was telling me to always remain true to myself. I knew, somehow I knew, I was safe with him. I could not recall such candid love before. Since my operation I was not afraid of anything anymore, including angels popping up out of nowhere.

About the Book
Somewhere upon these pages you will find a piece of your own life. There are poems that will touch your heart, make you laugh, and make you cry. This is a book of inspirational and spiritual poetry, including several inspirational short stories that are written to touch the heart. The 92 poems are based on the journey through life, which includes everything from love to growth, to very soul touching expressions which possibly everyone encounters along the way through the journey of life. The poems are written on love, on family, on finding oneself, and some humor to ease the way of life, also included are Christmas poems that are sure to touch the heart. The 5 short stories are based on personal experience, to the fantasy of what may have been. The imagination and inspiration hopefully will lead one down a path of discovery to understanding. My motto is 'to make people think', which has led me from iinspiration to poetry, to bring hope and faith to those, who like me, are searching for answers to life's questions. To touch one life so deeply that transformations occurs along the way is the greatest success one can attain. To me, a poem is not a poem unless it can convey a message to the reader, a message so heartfelt that it touches a heart almost immediately.
About the Author
I have written poetry since I was eight years old, and poetry has been my passion and my joy ever since. Life has been my greatest teacher, and I thank God for giving me the inspiration to write. I have won Honorable Mention for a poem contest to Reader's Digest, won a trophy for Most Ourtstanding Poet in 2003, and also have had several poems published internationally, also I have been nominated for Poet of the Year several times. I was born in Hudson, New York, and moved to Florida in 1989 where I now live in Umatilla, Florida with my husband, Walt. I married my high school sweetheart, and we have been married 36 years. We have three lovely children, Misi Isbill 34, Angie Cook 30, and Todd 28. I have been blessed, at this time, with 5 wonderfuly smart grandchildren; Abi 8, Cameron 6 (Misi & Charlie Isbill), Riley 7, Ty 4, Nyla Jane 2 (Todd & Kelly Winters). Angie and Chris Cook are next in line, yet, I must mention Junior, an adorable Chocolate Lab that acts like a grandchild to me. I cannot forget Buttons, she is our Beagle, who has a personality of her own, that only a dog lover would understand. It would never be complete until I thanked them all for their support, understanding, and patience with me along the way. Perhaps, my greatest fan has always been my mother, Anne DeSimone. She has been my friend, my logic, my guide all through life. Not one person who has walked with me along the way has not touched my heart and given me the courage and inspiration to accomplish what I felt I needed to accomplish.
