"Justin, you must stay back here. I have to take care of this."
"How can I let you go out there by yourself? I don't want anything to happen to you. Don't ask me to let you go. Tell me what is happening. Perhaps there is something I can do."
"There isn't time for that. Please trust me Justin."
With that, she escaped his grasp. She slipped away so quickly. He didn't know where she had gone until he saw her clear over by the helicopter.
Dennis had joined him by then. They could see that there were several men around and in the chopper working on it for an early morning flight. They could hear Anna tell the men that there was an explosive on board. She told them to get out of harms way immediately. At first they didn't believe her and even started to grab her, but then saw Commander Drake and Colonel Patterson off to the side. The commander waved his arm toward the side of the field while telling them to do what she said. The men ran off to the side just as the chopper exploded. As Justin put his arms in front of his face he yelled out, "Anna, No!"
He and Dennis were blown back by the concussion from the explosion. Debris was falling everywhere. They quickly got to their feet, but couldn't see Anna anywhere. Justin was sure that she and the baby had blown up with the chopper. There was no way she could have escaped that explosion.

The year is 2015. We have evolved into a global environment. Crime and violence, in its many ugly forms, is prevalent in most major cities and beyond. Terrorism runs rapid throughout the globe. Leaders of nations fail to agree on much of anything, but amazingly, have agreed to agree that they must unite globally to protect innocents at the periphery of our global community where they are without the economic or military means to defend them, as well as, the innocents who are targeted or inadvertent victims of terrorism. Nations have agreed that all military resources from the entire globe will be combined to form one united force to address these serious issues. During the last century, many of these nations fought against each other. So many lives were lost. Although our arrival into the twenty-first century did not bring us the peace we wanted, we could claim a success for getting nations to pool all their support into a common cause; to unite against global enemies. The question is, "Is Global Force going to be enough?" Will the size and strength of this force be enough show of power to stop enemies who engage in unconventional warfare, some, of whom, even hold our natural resources for ransom? Perhaps, a show of power will be taken to a whole new level when Global Force Commander Justin Drake gains assistance from an unlikely ally. Within the comaraderie of these powerful allies, he finds love and friendships where there is no place for violence. Do their gentle principles hold the key to a peaceful existence for us? Can they show us how to, finally, achieve world peace?

Born Sharon Kathleen McDougal in Los Angeles, California to Charles and Eleanor. Paternal grandfather was a Scot; grandmother born in Whales. Maternal Irish grandparents were born in Chicago. Father worked for Department of Agriculture and was a professional musician. Education was general with classic training in dance, music and drama. Always enjoyed writing.
