This book is a factual account of the author; Ina D. Cooper's life. It covers a variety of issues and her challenges and struggles such as food addiction, drug addiction, alcohol abuse, emotional and sexual abuse, marriage, being a single mother, and getting sober outside of any rehab or outpatient program. The continuing theme of this book is perseverence. She comes out of an abusive past to become a registered nurse and have a successful 16 year career. She shares her private journey of her emotional and mental healing process.She then returns to college to pursue a life-long dream of working in fashion design. This book is appropriate for teenagers as well as adults of any age and status.
About the Author
Ina D. Cooper has enjoyed a 16 year career as an R.N. She has worked in Orthopedics, Medical-Surgical, Cardiology, and Post-Partum all in hospital settings. She has recently embarked on a new career as a Fashion and Textile Designer. This is one of her life-long dreams. She is a talented water-color artist as well as an abstract and impressionist painter. She is multi-talented; multi-faceted; and just crossing the threshold into her divine destiny! She is available for speaking engagements per her discretion.
