About the Book

This is a pictorial book about a small town in N.J. called Iselin, where I have resided for over 85 years.  Iselin was proud to be known for a Dairy Farm where cows grazed in the meadows and "Milkmen" use to deliver milk to residents throughout Woodbridge Township in Middlesex County.  Iselin once had a "rural Railroad Station" and is now  N.J. Transit's busiest rail station in the Northeast Corridor  known as Metropark.- 25 miles from New York City.

My sister Ethel gave me the incentive to write this book.  She gave me pictures captured by my Mother Anna Miele Muglia of the early years in Iselin, newspapter clippings and other memorbilia that I sent to Mother while fighting in World War II.  I have dedicated this book to my Mother Anna Muglia Miele.

"I also started thinking about writing this book after I showed a friend some pictures of the early years in Iselin and what I had done in the Town."  He said to me: "do you know that these pictures are not ony great, but priceless!"  "Once they are gone, who has anything like them?"  "Why don't you share them with others?"

I hope you will enjoy going down memory lane with me as I reminisce with pictorial history of Iselin from the 1920s up to the current day and observe the changes made to Iselin throughout the last 80 years.  May you have a wonderful journey through time. You will see why ISELIN is a great town.
