During the week before I emigrated to the UK from South Africa in December 2002, I was inwardly moved, and instinctively knew that I had to write a book about my special life and faith experiences for the benefit of the world.
This collection of experiences might not appear to be so unusual to some, but for others it might be exceptional. This is a matter of opinion.
All the experiences relayed in this book are true and authentic accounts of what happened to me, my wife, as well as some of those with whom we interacted. Obviously if critics want undeniable evidence, then perhaps they could be a little disappointed. I know of people who can see facts with their own eyes and still question it. However, it should not detract from the fact that it remains my own personal experiences that nobody can take away from me.
Some of these experiences are about miraculous healings; powerful prayers that produce instantaneous results; prophetic predictions; psychic abilities; classic dreams; sight of spirit souls; out of body experience; miraculous protection from harm and accidents; etc. I am also convinced that many people have not made even half of these special experiences in many lifetimes…
I just felt compelled to share my experiences and convictions of faith with the world at large. As I went through life I naturally told some people of some of my experiences, but it might not have the same effect as when it is recorded in book-form. In this way it remains a reliable and universal document that can further be shared with a much larger world audience. I am a Christian, and my experiences and conviction of faith is centred in the New Apostolic Church.
Although I relocated a few times within the UK, and also changed jobs within the past 3 years, the urge to write my book did not leave me. In January 2006 I started with the actual writing of the manuscript during some week- ends as I could not do it during weekdays. The reason for this was mostly owing to the fact that I worked very long hours in London, and afterwards had to travel for about two hours in one direction to get back home. Thus my travelling time consisted of about four hours per day, on top of the long hours at work. Some weeks I completed about 65 hours at work! In spite of this hurdle I was determined to complete my book during the first few months of 2006 – and I did. I think this was remarkable, seeing that it was the first project of its kind that I completed. When I came to the end of the manuscript I started looking around for suitable publishers. During November 2006 I found a publisher with whom I entered into an agreement. It felt to me as if a heavy burden was lifted from my shoulders. I felt tired; relieved; and excited at the same time.
I should also say that my personal beliefs and understanding of my faith as promulgated in this book is not exactly the official statements and doctrine of the New Apostolic Church. It is only my interpretation of it. For the official versions please visit the website: www.nak.org.
I cannot hide my light, and in fact through the medium of this book place it high upon a pedestal for everyone to see. For this opportunity I give my God and Heavenly Father all the glory and honour. It is also my wish that more New Apostolic Christians would come forward to do similar projects in future. We have to proclaim the truth and not stand back for any person or spirit. Through this book I will show how truly dependent I am on God my Heavenly Father – because He is also dependable! However, this dependency on Him does not make me a brainless and weak robot. On the contrary, because I truly trust Him, I also trust the gifts and talents that He has blessed me with. I agree with what the first Apostle Paul said: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”, cf. Philippians 4:13 NKJV, (emphasis added throughout). The message of salvation through Jesus Christ is the best product and truth in all worlds. Why should we be afraid or embarrassed to share it?
Jesus Christ remains my hero, and I simply admire Him. His coming birth was prophesised by prophets of different ages many centuries before His actual birth; details about His life and eventual death were also prophesised in like manner. When it happened before their eyes to the le
