Rush To Judgment

About the Book

The rain was pouring down; it was a cold dreary spring afternoon as April, in the big apple can be. My self, and the press pool, were standing out side the Court House, on the covered landing. We were waiting for the verdict to come in. The jury had been out, sequestered in a small room for six days; and were on the ragged edge!  The case involved the brutal murders of six known prostitutes, savagely beaten in there beds; with a baseball bat while they slept!

The man charged with the crime, was an ex-Marine. A “Gulf War” veteran, with a history of street violence, mental instability at times; and an alcoholic!  He saw a lot of action; and had medals of valor to prove it! To bad, he ended up this way. I didn’t think he fit the profile as a murderer!

I was dropped off and left; at St. Jude’s Orphanage, as an infant. My friends call me D.J. My name is – “Damian Jude”- (Named, after the patron saint) By Sister Anne, the mother superior at the home. I never got adopted! I was a drug addicted baby! --- I’m a private investigator!

About the Author

My name is Ronald D. Albert Sr.

This is my first book, of three. In the series of Damian Jude P.I. I’m a first time author, and very excited about my new book; as I hope you will be too! Please, join me in reading; how the characters continue to grow, and blossom.

I worked for thirty nine years in the heating oil, and service industries; as a technician, and installer. I was born in Auburn, Maine, my family moved to Lowell Massachusetts; after I was born, where I grew up; and attended Lowell high school, then served four years in the Marine Corp. two of which were in Vietnam. (1965—1967)  When I got released; I moved back home to Lowell Mass. Where, I met my future wife; and was trained in my craft.

We married in 1967, and in 1973, moved to N.H. We have two sons, and seven grand children.      

We now reside in Goffstown, New Hampshire, and have been here thirty four years. I recently retired, and believe I have found a new vocation! --- May you enjoy reading it, as much as I did writing it?
