“Sharing stories of my childhood is a way of holding on and letting go of the joys and tears of growing up in the rural South. In my hometown, childhood felt like 100 years of waiting, longing, and dreaming. These stories are a special tribute also to my sister, Sivi, whose love and friendship continue to create special memories that will endure for another 100 years.” Dr. Beverly Boone
