Crying In The Wind
She said; she’s crying because of the windy weather.
He looked in her eyes and said; darling I know better.
He knew he had to leave and fight for his country.
In an embrace she said; I’d rather wish you could stay with me.
Honey I hope you’re back before the baby is here.
He held her face and said, darling! Please don’t have any fear.
I’ll be back honey don’t you worry! I’ll be okay.
He gave her a last kiss and said; I love you forever and a day.
A half-year passes and she knew he’d come home.
When she wanted to go out the door she heard the phone.
The voice on the other side said; his condolence for her man.
She asked how did my husband die and when?
He was on a mission and a landmine took his life away.
He gave me his last words to you ma’am “I love you forever and a day”.
“Crying hard” she let the phone slip out of her hand onto the floor.
How could she raise a child without the man she truly adores?
Fifteen years later her son asked; who is my daddy? I want you to tell me.
She cried and said come here this book will show you that he was a soldier in the army.
He hugged his mother and cried; no wonder you’re always crying in windy weather.
