About the Book

TERESITA.  The Fall from Grace of an Initiate and a Country is a biographical novel written in three parts based on true events and set against the background of the Cuban Revolution.

About the Author

Zenaida Hernández Smith was born in Cuba in 1933.  She holds a degree in journalism, and worked as a freelance writer and art critic in Havana.  She is the author of two novellas and more than one hundred poems.  In 1959 she emigrated to the United States, returning to writing in 1991.  Her poetry is being published in several regional anthologies and she has won first and second prizes in several competitions.  She is currently writing her brother’s biography and her own memoir is a work in progress.  Ms. H. Smith lives in Florida with her husband, Richard.
