A cold wind whistled through the trees and an owl hooted in the moonlight as Marcus walked on toward the old mansion. He was scared but also felt God was with him. Just around the bend, the mansion came into view. It was tall and dark with many tall trees around it. The old Iron Gate made a creaking noise and soon Marcus was on the front steps. Many strange lights reflected from the windows. The night was eerily quiet. He found it strange that there were no party sounds coming from the mansion.
Marcus began to pray very hard. Soon his little hands grasped the big wooden door. He pulled on it with all his might but it would not open. He braced his feet against the doorframe and pulled one more time, the door flew open. Now he heard screams and crying from inside but these did not sound like party noises. There was a long staircase in front of him that spiraled upward. A large door to his right muffled all the screams. Marcus went to open the door and could not believe what he saw.

My name is Terry J.Martin or just "TJ".
I have been writing since I was very young and love to explore and write about many different subjects from mysteries to romance. Creativity is my strong point and my imagination does run very deep. A little about myself...
I was born in California in 1955 and moved to upsate N.Y. when I ws around 10 years old. The Finger Lakes area has offered me quite a playground for my imagination and some of my stories do offer an influnence of this area. While I have made a career in Information Technology after leaving the Air Force in 1977, my main focus is to write much more and start one of many small businesses. I'm married to a beautiful women named Mindy and have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren. (I'm still a kid myself) The Lord has been in my life for many years and I love to write with his direction.
