About the Book

The Sweet & Sour of a Love Affair is the thoughts of a person having been in relationships and now looking back on the experiences learned and missed from the relationships. All relationships endure love on different levels and in different ways. The depth of one relationship is different from the depth of another. In this book of poems the author tells her stories of relationship experiences and feelings of love, hurt, shame and guilt for being in love. The poems are told in stages; first being sweet, then sour and then taking off from the lessons learned.

About the Author

Mary is an endearing woman. She draws you in when she talks to you and she provokes in the conversation. Her passion for helping others does not go unnoticed and her fight for equality in the justice system is known in the community. She takes what she has and gives it away to others and at the same time she may have a need for herself. She truly is a classy woman with a little bit of fiestiness. She is convinced that things can be better despite the many times that she has been told no. She is determined, persistent and sometimes a bear, but she does it all things with passion and love. This book is birthed at the experiences she has endured in relationships and although it does not tell all, its important because its a start.
